How can i burn tv shows from itunes into a dvd disc? will they play in my dvd player?
my player plays divx and most formats
well....this is a little tricky - you can do it but the resolution isn't as good as a dvd made for TV viewing...
i have done this with vids that i converted myself and them put to dvd - just using the dvd software on my computer. quality was just ok because they are in a different format other that the one that regular dvds are that you use to play back on your TV.
as far as video that you get from apple they don't allow you to do this so they can prevent piracy - i tried too with a TV series I bought - just won't work cause you can't access the file to actually burn it.

A digital versatile disc player is a device that plays discs produced in video and audio formats. Most of these players allow users to play audio and video compact discs (CDs) also. The player reads and obeys the DVD's regional lockout codes and displays a warning if it is not authorised to play it. These players usually read a DVD disc in ISO - UDF version 1.2 format. Mostly these are of the same dimensions as a CD but can store up to 6 times as much data.
Some new players also play videos in MPEG-4 ASP video compression format. They are usually cheaper than VCRs. Presently; China is the largest producer of DVD players. There is also another variety of players that is called software DVD players. These players allow the users to view videos on a computer. The LG's DivX (PDP) has a 7 inch wide swivel LCD screen. The player supports a number of file formats like VCD, JPEG, DivX, CD-R and WMA.
