Speaker Kit Tight
Are visonik VB212PKW 12" subs+amp+box a good kit for $150?
i found these at walmart. im on a tight budget of $300. so anything that would save me money and still rock my car. and also if i buy these, i was thinking about taking the stock amp and connectiong it to my aftermarket door and panel speakers, and buying a new more powerful amp for the subs. what is a decent powerful amp i can get? thanks
I would save up to buy better stuff. Why waste your money on junk, and have to spend more of it to replace it all? As far hooking up the stock amp to after-market speakers, you can do it. It would be better to buy an after-market amp to hook up them though. Here is a good place to buy from that has decent prices, http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm . I always go to my local pawn shops when looking for gear. You can get some good deals, if you know what you are looking for. I will make a list of what I want, go to the above site and write down what it is there new, and go looking.
Good brands, including but not limited to: Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, JL Audio, Soundstream, ARC Audio, Cadence, Diamond Audio, Focal, Dayton (subs), Precision Power, some MTX, Pioneer Premier; old school brands: Lanzar, Hifonics, and Phoenix Gold.
Mediocre brands (brands that are good for the money, but there is better): Quantum Audio, Sony ES line, Memphis, JBL (in my opinion), Pioneer, Kenwood.
Generic brands, not limited to, but including Pyramid, Boss, Lanzar (except old school Lanzars), HiFonics (again except old school, series VIII and earlier), Legacy, American Pro, Powerbass, MA Audio, Dual, Lightning Audio, Visionik, Volfenhag, Jensen, American Legacy, Audiobahn, Sony Explod line, VR3, JVC, Pyle. Any thing at Wal-Mart, or an auto parts store.
