Are visonik VB212PKW 12" subs+amp+box a good kit for $150?

i found these at walmart. im on a tight budget of $300. so anything that would save me money and still rock my car. and also if i buy these, i was thinking about taking the stock amp and connectiong it to my aftermarket door and panel speakers, and buying a new more powerful amp for the subs. what is a decent powerful amp i can get? thanks

I would save up to buy better stuff. Why waste your money on junk, and have to spend more of it to replace it all? As far hooking up the stock amp to after-market speakers, you can do it. Blue LED triangle is out on my Phoenix Gold Amp?

I have a PG Ti500.4 and the blue three LED light in the middle of the amp is out, Is this an internal fuse or wiring.? I'm only bitching because I have a matching amp that the lights are working on. Any info would help.. BTW everything else on the amp works fine.

Selection of auspicious dates 看日子

Auspicious dates are required for the chinese wedding, the betrothal and installation of the bridal bed. A chinese monk, a temple official or a fortune teller are able to advice on a suitable date based on the coupleÂ’s birth dates and times. Some may also refer to the chinese calendar or almanac for good days. Usually, even numbered months and dates are preferred and the lunar seventh month is avoided as it is the month of the Hungry Ghost Festival.

After the selection of the auspicious dates, wedding details such as types and quantities of betrothal gifts, return gifts, brideÂ’s price 娉金, and number of tables at the wedding banquet provided by the groomÂ’s parents for the brideÂ’s parentsÂ’ guest are agreed.

Betrothal 过大礼/纳彩

Up to a month and at least three days before the wedding day, the groom and a friend or a matchmaker will deliver the betrothal gifts on the auspicious date chosen.

Western and chinese wedding cakes, peanut candies, together with two bottles of brandy, at least six tins of canned pork legs and even number of oranges are included in the wedding gift baskets. Two pairs of dragon and phoenix candles 龙凤烛are also included. Also included is gold jewellery from the groomÂ’s parents to the bride such as the cantoneseÂ’s dragon and phoenix bangle 龙凤琢 or the teochewÂ’s four items of gold四点金.

Some include the brideÂ’s price with the betrothal gifts whereas some will only present it when the groom fetches the bride.

In the return gifts, the 2 bottles of brandy will be replaced with 2 bottles of orange syrup. An even numbered portion of all the other gifts are returned to the groomÂ’s family together with the 2 phoenix candles. The brideÂ’s side will light the 2 dragon candles and the groomÂ’s side the phoenix candles on the morning of the wedding day.

Some hokkien family will also request for a bunch of bananas and red dates to be included in the return gifts. A red packet for the groomÂ’s parents to buy shoes is required. The bride will also present towels to the parents, grandparents, aunt, uncles and groomÂ’s siblings.

Deliver the bride's dowry 送嫁妆

The brideÂ’s parents may include the bride's dowry with the return gifts on the day of betrothal or deliver the dowry a few days before the wedding. The chinese dowry typically include

- beddings such as pillows, bolsters, comforter set, blankets, bed sheets, etc., all tied with red ribbons;

- new clothes in a suitcase for the bride (in the past, wardrobes or wooden wedding chests are used.);

- tea set for the wedding tea ceremony;

- baby bathtub, potty, face washbasin, tumblers, toothpaste and toothbrushes, mirror, comb;

- two pairs of red wooden clogs wedding slippers or bedroom slippers;

- sewing basket with even numbered rolls of colourful thread, needles, pincushion, scissors, and sewing wax with auspicious words on it;

- gold jewellery given by brideÂ’s parents.

Install the bridal bed 按床

A good fortune woman will install the bridal bed in the bridal room up to 12 days before the wedding day on an auspicious date. New red or pink bedsheets are used and a plate of dried longans, lotus seeds, red dates, persimmons, sprig of pomegranate leaves together with 2 red packets are placed on the bed. A pair of bedside lamps is lit to symbolize adding sons to the family.

Hair combing ceremony 梳头

Good fortune women will conduct this ceremony for the bride and groom in their respective homes the night before the chinese wedding. After showering with water infused with pomelo or pomegranate leaves, the bride and groom will change into a new set of clothing and shoes. The good fortune women will bless them aloud as they sit in front of an open window with a visible moon or in front of the mirror.

The four blessings are:

一梳梳到尾，(First combing, together all your lives)

二梳百年好合，(Second combing, harmony in your marriage)

三梳子孙满堂，(Third combing, blessed with many children and grandchildren)

四梳白发齐眉。(Fourth combing, blessed with longevity.)

Sweet pink rice ball soup汤圆 will be served after the hair combing ceremony to wish the couple a complete and sweet marriage.

The three most popular roller coasters at Walt Disney World are Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Thunder Mountain Railroad. Each of them has a different feel. Sometimes it's hard to decide which one to go on first.

Thunder Mountain Railroad, in Frontierland, is themed as the gold rush days in a flooded mine town called Tumbleweed, and you are seated in a runaway mine car. It is relatively gentle and geared towards adults and teens. The ride is about 3.5 minutes of hairpin turns and dark descents; where you feel like you are falling and you go around corners quickly enough to be tossed from side to side. There are 20 audio-animatronic figures including donkeys, chickens, possums, and a rainmaker called Professor Cumulus Isobar. There is antique mining equipment, falling rocks, an earthquake, and the smell of sulphur as you pass phosphorescent pools. You careen through a dinosaur's ribs, under a waterfall, past spewing geysers and over a volcanic pool. You really need to be paying attention to catch all the detail. The lines are long but move fairly quickly. It is best to go during parades, or use a FASTPASS, or go late in the day (many people say it's even better after dark). The queue can get pretty hot in the summer so a mister fan could come in handy.

Space Mountain, in Tomorrowland, is an indoor attraction, themed as a ride through outer space. You enter a space station and board and exit the ride at a space port. There are two almost identical tracks in Disney World. Controlled lighting selectively hides portions of the track, so the element of surprise keeps this roller coaster as exciting as an outside one would be. Space Mountain was the first rollercoaster that was completely controlled and operated by a computer system. When you enter Space Mountain, there is a dimly lit queue that seems endless. It is a good idea to use Fastpass, especially at peak times. The best times to ride are during parades or late at night. Eventually you get to board six passenger "rockets", seated single file. Your vehicle goes through a tunnel of strobe lights and colors before "blasting off into space". You dip and swerve through the galaxy for two and a half minutes with peak speeds of 28 miles an hour, riding past shooting stars and glowing planets. The ride may be too intense for young children.

Splash Mountain, in Frontierland, is themed as Walt Disney's classic 1946 movie "Song of the South". The crafty Brer Rabbit is chased by Brer Fox and Brer Bear through swamps and woods all the way to the Laughin' Place. You should definitely use Fastpass for this ride. It is best to ride it during parades, either in the day or at night. There is a long queue through the inside of "Chickapin Hill" (this is one of the most popular rides in the park, especially in warm weather) until you reach the eight passenger "log" that will take you along the flume for 11 minutes.

There are 100 audio-animatronics figures, (some taken from an old attraction at Disneyland), as you travel through caves, swamps, and bayous. You see that initially Brer Rabbit outwits his pursuers but he is headed for trouble. He plunges with you from the top of Chickapin Hill, down five stories into the briar patch, at descent speeds of 40 mph. There are several familiar songs to clap, and sing aloud to. During the ride there are three lifts and five drops in total. Getting wet is inevitable. If you want to get really wet, though, ask if you can sit up front. There are ride photos taken just when your log begins to tip down the 45 degree waterfall. It is pretty funny to see your expression after the ride, at Splashdown Photos, as you exit.

Which roller coaster will you choose? Splash Mountain is an obvious choice on very hot days. It is fun to sing along to as well. Space Mountain is basically a fast, bone rattling roller coaster that is indoors and largely in the dark. Thunder Mountain Railroad is relatively gentle (which I like) but has plenty of the details that make Disney Theme Parks so much better than others. I would choose all three, especially on your first trip. They all have their own special pleasures and should all be experienced at least once.
