im installing a multifuel log burner in a room without a chimney, useing a twin wall system.?
From the stove it rises 500mm then a 45d bend then 1000mm
thru a block exterior wall where it will then change to stainless
twin wall flue sections 1st a tee then 4 meters cowl ,brackets, etc.IS NORMAL SINGLE STEEL MATERIAL OK FOR THE SECTION FROM STOVE THRU WALL PLZ?
I am having the work inspected on completion.
Phone your local Stove supplier and ask them. A simple building regs question. Phone your council office, ask to speak to building control, and ask your building inspector. They will be happy to help.
p.s. single cast iron is certainly fine from stove for first yard or two - it dissipates more heat into room. single steel sounds like a gas flue to me and would be totally unsuitable
